Mohammad Souri
Chairman & Managing Director, NITC
Mohammad Souri has served as Chairman and Managing Director of NITC since 1986. He is also a member of the Board of Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association, Chairman of the Asian P&I Club, Executive member of the Organisation of Islamic Ship Owners Association and Chairman of Arya Shipping Company. A graduate of Howard University (USA), with 30 years of experience in marine services, his initial managerial experience was as Chairman and General Manager of Souri International Forwarding Corporation in New York from 1975 to 1979. In 1980, he served as Deputy Coordinator and Parliamentary Representative of the Ministry of Commerce and subsequently moved to the Red Crescent Organization to take over the job of Deputy of Relief and Rescue Operations. In 1982, he joined the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines and served as the company’s Chairman and Managing Director.
