Aslan Paksoy received MBA (Honors) in Business & Finance from the Marmara University in, Istanbul and a BA in English Literature from the Cukurova University, Adana, in 1987 he also completed an International Banking Course at Anadolu Bankas? A.S., Istanbul. He started out as Assistant Manager with The Chase Manhattan Bank N.A., both in Istanbul and New York, USA, then worked as Manager for Credit Lyonnais, Istanbul, moving on to Kocbank A.S., Istanbul as Division Head and then as Assistant General Manager at Toprak Investment Securities Inc. Istanbul. In 2002 he set up his own consulting company in line with his investment banking experience - FinShip Turkey.
