Ms. ?eyma ?nal graduated with distinction from Ankara University Law Faculty in 1981 and spent the early part of her career working with the well-known Istanbul lawyer Metin Baran.
With 25 years’ experience and involvement in scores of major marine casualties and disputes, Ms. ?nal’s clients include all the major UK and European P&I and Defence Clubs, hull underwriters, shipowners as well as cargo receivers and underwriters.
Seyma’s knowledge and standing stems from her partnerships in two of Turkey premier maritime practices: Metin Baran Law Firm and Gür & ?nal Attorneys-at-Law. The recent establishment of her own practice in 2003 marked another milestone in an increasingly successful career.
Advising upon formation and enforcement of contract and corporate lending and security structures also form a considerable part of Ms. ?nal’s practice. She holds the distinction of being one of Turkey’s premier ship-finance lawyers. Ms. ?nal also advises on non-contentious aspects of corporate and commercial matters and has an impressive background in company law, project finance, corporate acquisitions and joint-ventures. She represents many major banks’ interests in Turkey.
